Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from glowgearpro.com (the "Site"). The Site is owned and operated by Nu Rosee Limited, a company incorporated in Hong Kong, trading as GLOWGEAR ("we", "us"). For the purposes of the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (the "PDPO"), Nu Rosee Limited is the data user responsible for your personal data.

Personal information we collect

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as "Device Information".

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:
- "Cookies" are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier. For more information about cookies, and how to disable cookies, visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org.
- "Log files" track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.

Additionally, when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers), email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as "Order Information".

When we talk about "Personal Information" in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information.

Providing your Personal Information is voluntary. However, if you do not provide the Order Information requested at checkout, we will not be able to process or deliver your order.

How do we use your personal information?

We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to:

Sharing your Personal Information

We share your Personal Information with third-party service providers who help us operate our store and deliver our services, and who process your Personal Information on our behalf and only as needed to perform those functions. These include our e-commerce platform, our payment processors, and providers of services such as subscriptions and recurring billing, product reviews and loyalty programmes, email and marketing communications, customer support and live chat, back-in-stock and other notification services, analytics, search optimisation, and shipping, fulfilment and fraud prevention. The specific providers we use may change from time to time as we add, replace, or remove the apps and tools that run our store. Because many of our service providers operate internationally, your Personal Information may be transferred to, and stored or processed in, jurisdictions outside Hong Kong (including the United States and Canada). Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled in a manner consistent with this policy.

Currency Data

By using our website, you (the visitor) agree to allow third parties to process your IP address, in order to determine your location for the purpose of currency conversion. You also agree to have that currency stored in a session cookie in your browser (a temporary cookie which gets automatically removed when you close your browser). We do this in order for the selected currency to remain selected and consistent when browsing our website so that the prices can convert to your (the visitor) local currency.

Direct marketing

We will only use your Personal Information (such as your name and email address) to send you direct marketing — for example, news about our products, offers, or launches — where you have consented, or where you have not objected after we have informed you of our intention to do so, in accordance with Part VIA of the PDPO. We do not provide your Personal Information to other parties for use in their own direct marketing without your written consent.

You may opt out of direct marketing at any time, free of charge, by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email we send, or by emailing us at glow@glowgearpro.com. We will stop using your Personal Information for direct marketing promptly upon receiving your request.

Behavioural advertising

As described above, we use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you. Under the PDPO, you have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, and to request the correction of any personal data that is inaccurate. To make an access or correction request, contact us using the details at the end of this policy. We may charge a reasonable fee for processing a data access request, as permitted by the PDPO.

If you are a European resident, you additionally have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below. We note that we process your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above, and that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.

Data retention and security

When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete it, and in any event no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which it is used (including any retention required for legal, accounting, or tax purposes). We take reasonable and practicable steps to protect the Personal Information we hold against unauthorised or accidental access, loss, or misuse — including using a platform (Shopify) that encrypts payment and checkout data in transit.

Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
